Grants Creek Nursery Inc.

Grants Creek Nursery Inc. has provided landscaping services to Onslow, Carteret, Craven and surrounding areas since 1973. We hold multiple state licenses and carry insurance and bonding, and the crews here have more than 80 years of combined experience between them.

What makes us different from most contractors in this market is that we are also the grower. Ninety-five percent of the plant material we install is propagated and grown on our own 42 acre property, which means it has already lived through a coastal North Carolina summer before it reaches your yard. Nothing gets trucked in from a warmer zone and planted here hoping for the best.

We handle residential, commercial and government work, from a single bed to full design and build projects, and we stay on afterward through our maintenance division if you want us to.

We Grow What We Install

Our plants come off our own fields, already acclimated to coastal soil, humidity and salt wind. You get healthier material and a far shorter list of replacements in year two.

Holding a shoreline in place

Waterfront and low lying properties in Onslow and Carteret counties lose ground every storm season. We build segmental retaining walls, bulkheads, stabilized slopes and drainage systems designed for the way water actually moves across a coastal site, then plant them so the roots do their share of the work.

This is the part of a project nobody photographs for a brochure and the part that decides whether everything planted above it is still there in five years.
